This film was developed under the Eduqas Film Studies 2023 brief, of a film with a narrator. The film also takes inspiration from the short films on the specification (Stutterer, Curfew and Swimmer).
I started writing I Thought About Killing You in January 2022, and the film was finished in August 2022.
The film is about the never-ending cycle of trauma.
In June 2023, it was featured in Barnes Film Festival's Youth Shortcase and official selection of Beijing's Parallusion Film Festival. In July 2023, it was part of CovCreative Film Festival's selection.
I took an experimental approach to this film, and tried things I had never tried before. This film was more collaborative than anything I had ever made before, and really helped me to develop my ability to work well and take a leadership role in a team.
Based of the Kanye West song of the same name, this film was wrote specifically to showcase my editing and cinematography skills and my passion for them.
